Writing a book isn’t easy. In fact, if you search for opinions on the internet, most influencers will tell you it’s one of the hardest things you can do. Here are my 3 tips to help you sort your head out, take action and start writing.
I’m certain If you understand the benefits of writing a book it would become the most vital aspects of building your voice and personal brand online. Books are powerful, even if you don’t sell a copy. They can help you get a new job, change career, launch businesses, products and services.
It’s the big domino in my content marketing efforts and anchors me to subjects and opinions that I’m trying to share across all platforms. More importantly, they give you a distinct difference.
Someone the internet should pay attention to.
1. Define what you want to achieve. Who is the book for? What problem will it solve?
2. Decide how and where you can write. This might be 20 mins a day in your lunch break or 30 minutes on your daily commute. Set boundaries and deadlines.
3. Chunk it down. Break everything up into achievable bits. Focus on one thing at a time.
NOTE: Don’t be precious or fall in love with your book. It can become your biggest obstacle to getting it done.
