Getting your content seen is hard. Algorithms are changing more frequently. SEO doesn’t look the same anymore.
1. The internet is saturated.
Chances are today’s strategies won’t work tomorrow (well it certainly feels that way!).
2. Platforms are changing.
In 2018, 2 out of every five adults used voice search once per day. But in 2020, 50% of all searches will be done through voice search according to ComScore.
I’m a big advocate of finding your ’one thing’ – and leveraging it to the max, but that doesn’t apply to channels. Truth is you can’t build a brand or business of just one.
3. Does blogging work anymore?
Back in ‘the day’ Google was hungry for indexing long-form content. Your articles could easily rank and being on page 1 was far more straightforward.
The reality is the internet is getting full. There are approximately 1,805,260,010 websites on the web. The majority are blogs, and Google is even more picky ranking
So content needs to be super high quality and more useful than ever to rank.
